Charles not only has a busy teaching practice but also gives concerts. He makes regular appearances in the Royal Concert Hall’s foyer series and has an ever-evolving collection of live and studio work on youtube (click tbe video links below). In May 2014 Charles was invited to give a recital for the Piano Tuners’ Association as part of their annual conference featuring Chopin’s infamously tricky Ballade no.1 in G minor. He has also performed a number of times for the opening of exhibitions at the Nottingham Contemporary, including Aquatopia where he featured Debussy’s Reflets dans l’eau. In October 2013 he was invited to play Mussorgsky’s formidable solo piano suite ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham (‘Live at Lunch’ series).
